Hope to Live Delivered by You Were Born for a Reason
Yuuchi Motofuji, a physician, attended the presentation ceremony of the principal image with Mr. Y on August 20th.
Motofuji met the man when he came to receive treatment under his care. “I was a medical trainee at the university hospital two years ago. I gave him YOU WERE BORN FOR A REASON in the ward of internal medicine. Since then, he has started listening to Buddhism.”
Mr. Y learned that Master Shinran clarifies why there is hope in life. Soon after that he listened to Takamori Sensei’s video lectures. He also attended the web conferences and the lectures at the 2000-Tatami-Mat Hall. Finally he became a Shinran follower this summer.
The onetime patient became a Shinran follower moving on the supreme path together with his doctor. “That would not have been possible without the web conference, which doesn’t leave out any patient with an intractable disease. I’m really grateful,” said Yuuchi Motofuji.
