One-point lesson on Buddhist terminology
1. The Supreme Path
This means “The Supreme Teaching,” referring to the Supreme Buddhaʼs Vow (Amida Buddhaʼs Vow), which was taught by Śākyamuni Buddha in India 2600 years ago. Śākyamuni Buddha taught that even if people are not blessed with money or material, as long as they have the mind to give, they can practice seven kinds of offering. They are known as “The Seven Charities that Cost Nothing.”
2. A Smiling Face
This is a face with a gentle smile. In life, a beautiful smile from the heart is like a flower. Śākyamuni encouraged people to connect with others through a smile.
